Next Up ....... Roz And Ella Have Their Turns

Thank you, Roz and Ella, for asking great questions! Let's get started!

Roz asked what is the biggest change Jack and I have seen in our relationship since beginning ttwd. I love this question. We have rediscovered the passion and play that we enjoyed when our love was new. A fellow blogger announced that there is nothing sexy than a husband spanking his wife. She said it when I first met her and I immediately loved her. So that is what is so different....... that is the big change. We rediscovered our sensuality and sexuality as if we were newly married. Plus the fun has been put right back into bed with us and we love it.

Ella asked two questions. First, she asked if I knew Mr. Peabody. I must confess here that I had to google Mr. Peabody. He is a cartoon dog from the 1950's and 1960's. Here is the confess part: I abhor cartoons. I might have been the only child in all America who never ever watched cartoons. I just do not like animation of any kind. Ever! I am not sure why you asked, Ella. Did you like this cartoon character? Next Ella asked if I remember bringing ttwd to Jack. I did a post on this very subject here.  I was nervous and desperate to stop the spiral depression I was feeling. I remember thinking that I never wanted anything more in my life. He did say yes and we began.

  1. So funny that the changes we all notice right from the get go with ttwd are how life altering this actually is for us. I love what you had to say about the 'rediscovered passion and play'. I cannot think of one thing that tops this one besides the communication that we so enjoy now. I think you mentioned that in a previous post, how the two go hand in hand. Thanks Meredith.

  2. You can't over state the importance of the return of passion to a marriage of many decades. Many in our generation are divorcing after more than 30 years - probably looking for that passion. Little do they know it might be right in front of them.

  3. Thank you for sharing, how ttwd has renewed so many relationships. As PK pointed out, many are divorcing after many years of marriage or they become simply roommates with only the children in common. Was nut a huge fan of many cartoons but really liked Mr Peabody and Sherman. :)

    Hugs and blessings...Cat

  4. Meredith, really loved your answers, especially the passion and play returning. I think we are all lucky to find this as part of our TTWD.

    Hugs Lindy xx

  5. Hi Meredith, thank you so much for answering my question. I love your answer, the re-discovery that comes with ttwd is amazing isn't it, along with greater communication :)

  6. Mere,
first let me explain about Mr. Peabody. Did not mean to confuse anyone. This beagle cartoon character from the original Rocky and Bullwinkle show, used to take his boy, Sherman, in a WABAC machine for adventures. I always think about that magical machine when I am searching a memory from long ago.

My question about "Chapter One" of the Meredith and Jack story was a WABAC question. I love that post and enjoyed rereading it. These days I find myself examining our WABAC story because we have grown in so many ways. If I wrote that story again, I think it would have a much different perspective.

So agree about the play being something so special.

    Hugs From Ella

  7. I love this and have to agree that rediscovering passion has been a very quick benefit for us and the one that is probably the reason he is willing to continue to try to take the lead. Lol! For me, while I certainly enjoy that benefit as well, it is the communication. What I hope comes at some point is being able to take a bit of a back seat in decision making. That's a tough one for both of us. Not that I don't want any say but I know if I push hard enough I will probably get what I want - even if I shouldn't. So I aim to stop pushing and I'm doing better at that.

I love how you get me thinking...
