Home Is The Best Place!

We are home after traveling for a very long time. The good news is that we say amazing sights, ate delicious food and enjoyed a part of world very far away.

With jet lag raging big time, we went to bed very early last night. Asleep for just a few hours, I slept walked and did not know where I was when Jack found me standing in the middle of our bedroom. I remember hearing his voice and still did not know where I was. I asked him as I stood there where we were and how we got there. He pulled me back into bed and still I did not acknowledge where we were............ our own bed! He held me as I went back to sleep. When I woke, I remembered sleep walking and the sensation of being totally unsure of where I was. It definitely frightened me to the core.

Finally, sleep took over and we both slept like the dead. We woke at 3am after nine hours of blessed rest and decided it was time for coffee our way. We have enjoyed the coffee from where we vacationed, but Jack's special frothy coffee is always best and a good tonic for his sleep walking wife.

Now comes the reality of the return. Laundry, mail, groceries and, yes, a reset, back-on-track spanking once I have recovered from sleepwalking  and we are back to normal here. Jack wants us back on track and says his score card is full, very full after almost three weeks away.

I missed all of you.  There was absolutely no time for blog reading, posting or emailing. So now I have some serious catching up to do.

  1. I returned from vacation yesterday too. Our holiday destination was in the same time zone as our own so easier to catch up on sleep after a long day. We had no wifi, so I have lots of catching up to do too, just taking a quick break from the mountain of laundry at the moment.
Glad you had a wonderful time.

  9. Welcome home Mere and Jack. Sending lots of positive energy that you get back to 'normal' soon. Ooh Mere...if I were you, not sure if I like the sound of Jack's score card being very full. ;)

  10. So glad to hear you are back. Can't wait to hear about your travels. Sounds like a couple more of good night sleeps are in order to get back into your routine. Hummm... so Jack has a full score card? That doesn't sound promising for you, but then Jack is always fair and most assuredly will re-establish peace. As for me... I have loads to share so will let you get some rest and I will catch you on the other side.
