Sometimes Big Things Are Right Below The Surface

Do you ever have that feeling that big things are brewing? You know things need addressing. It is right there below the surface. It feels like waiting for the other shoe to drop. Like the people in the small boat here, something will surface sooner or later. There is always more that meets the eye. Right? Who you are will come out in the end and it is essential to be kind, truthful and straight forward. When people show you who they really are, believe them. I am sleeping a little better these days knowing I was kind and truthfully. That said, I will leave things as they are. I am not worried anymore. It feels like the air has been cleared and each side has been heard. Saying what you feel is important as long as it is said in the kindest of ways. Sometimes things right below the surface need to be addressed. Always address those things with kindness.

I know you may wonder what all this is about and I remain too kind to share more.

Do you have such a situation?

Thanks, L.

Sleeping much better,
Meredith

  7. Meredith so glad you have cleared the air and sleeping better. I've done that recently and it makes you feel lighter with the world lifted off your shoulders. Hope it continues to improve for you.

  9. Sorry you had a situation like that, Mere. I am one for 'speaking my piece' rather too quickly, on occasion, although these days I try to understand what it is like to wear another person's shoes. But I know just what you mean. It is horrid to let things fester. Much better to get your thoughts out into the open.

  11. Mere, you hit the nail on the head with, "Saying what you feel is important as long as it is said in the kindest of ways. Sometimes things right below the surface need to be addressed. Always address those things with kindness."

Kindness is the key. Not to say and do things deliberately to hurt.

I love this saying: 'Kindness is the language the deaf can hear and the blind can see. '

  12. Meredith,
I have not had such a situation yet, thank goodness. That is probably because there has always been an angel on my shoulder watching out for me. She is very special, and she has a kind heart.

  14. Meredith.. glad you have found peace in your situation as difficult as it must have been. It really does no one any good to ignore issues and let them fester. Sometimes honesty can be hard, but it is the very foundation of trust. Honesty will get you everywhere, lack of trust breeds resentment. You are a gracious lady and I am certain you handled the situation with upmost dignity and respect. Ownership is now in the other person's court and you need to move ahead.

  15. Yep, been there recently. I've found I'm too hot tempered to say what I feel, and it's best to pull back and carefully consider what needs to be said. With time, I find not much really needs to be said at all.
