Jack's Steel Trap Mind

I am taking a poll about our hohs. I would like to know if your Hoh has a steel trap mind or a mind like a sieve........... letting things fall through. Let me know. I love a good straw poll. Jack does not look a thing like this guy.

Jack came home from golf and we took wine out to the patio. I had not eaten too much, but I was enjoying my drink. As he took a shower, I curled up on our bed in my short sundress. The room was darkened as we tried to cool down the room from the summer heat. He came from the shower and we fell into one another on the bed with the fan going strong. Heaven, until Jack brought up the score card. I was wide awake now. I told him he cleared the score card the night before. He took me in his arms and said that there were still several items left on the score card. No, I said. We went to bed and the score card was not mentioned. With all that chatter from me, my short dress was up quickly and I was bared. He gave me the most delicious of spankings. He told me to hold still and he spanked a most wonderful spanking using his hand......... my favorite kind! We moved on to other sweet activities.

Afterwards, Jack talked about the steel trap mind of an Hoh. He knows what he is talking about as he has one.  He does not forget anything concerning my bottom! He talked more about the way I have changed in our two years of ttwd. He likes the way I am leaning into his leadership and he has no problem handling the bumps. He says I am calmer, more willing to listen, and am much more respectful. He says he loves the benefits of ttwd as our marriage has been made so much more loving and just plain fun. I am thinking to myself that sometimes it is downright sore, but I am very happy and so is my guy. With a sharp swat to my backside, he went to grill our marinated flank steak leaving me with a sore bottom and a big smile. I do love that man!

  1. That's a hard one to answer because he really isn't either completely. More the steel trap and a memory like an elephant. But every once in awhile there is a little hole that things slip through. He usually quickly fixes that with my bottom.

  2. I am with Blondie on this, somethings he can remember with no problem, others keep slipping his mind. :D

Sometimes when I think it has gotten more like a seive it morphs into a steel trap!

Sometimes I hope that Sam's mind is a sieve, but leaning over the bed is when I know for sure that is is a steel trap.

  11. Hmmm... Rob would lean way more in the direction of the steel trap mind. If he says there is going to be a spanking, there always is one. On the other hand, I appreciate his sieve moments. He reads me well these days, and knows which direction to move in on most occasions. I kind of like him "steel trappy" ! LOL! Many hugs,

  12. Oh he never really forgets anything! It's kind of annoying.
This reminds me of a time we were watching a show about a football player who got a bad concussion and had memory loss. He rolls over, grabs my bottom, and says: If I ever have amnesia or cognitive problems, just put my hand right here and it'll all come back to me.
Ha! Yeah, you'd be like "and who are you again? Excuse me doctor, could you step out for a minute... ((Grab my @$$...))
    Oh YEAH, I remember you!"

  13. Steel Trap for sure. About the time I think he has a sieve... I am dead wrong. Timing is everything. Sometimes he let's me think he has forgotten or is letting it slide but yeah no, definitely not. Sorts like Ella's comment. Jack and his score card... better keep track little lady. This sounds like a great time was had by you both.

  16. Sorry for the triplicate response. Working off my smart phone which apparently is not so smart and I can't get 2 of these deleted! Technology.... brother..

  17. Meredith,

I would have to say it depends on how tired Gabe is as to whether he has a steel trap or not. He seems to eventually remember when he has promised a spanking, but when he forgets--I don't remind him!!

  18. Although my hubby has some of each, he is working hard to have less of a sieve mind, and more of a steel trap mind. I tend to be more of the steel trap kind. Ack!!!
On the other hand, there are times when I want to say to him, "Would you please just go back to being a sieve? Really! I don't need consistency! Honest!! I'm just fine, thank you! Let's not think about the past. Can we talk about the weather?" HA!
And, as they say, all's well that ENDS well. And what a beautiful ending to Meredith and Jack's long summer day...

  19. With Dan it depends very much on what he writes down on that 'mental score card'. When I think he has completely forgotten about something, he will bring it up at our next 'discussion', but when I am practically salivating over the fact that he surely MUST spank me for something, he forgets all about it.

In a way, it keeps me on my toes, because I never know what is coming or what he is thinking. The tea mug incident proved that to me.

Perhaps it is better to walk the middle line. It leads to variety. Smirk!

    Hugs

  20. Sieve. Without a doubt the most forgetful person ever.
