Commando Nurse

What's a wife to do? Summer, those lazy, crazy, hazy days of summer are fading. We still have warm temperatures. My sweet Jack has been under the weather for a few days and I have become Nurse Meredith. I am doing my best to be the chief cook and bottle washer.

I have kept things clean and very tidy. And we are very pleased that water conservation is one of our top priorities during Jack's recovery. He needs a little help while showering and I step right in to give assistance. He had some out-patient surgery and was assured by his doctor that the golf course will be his by the middle of the month.

Those first days following his minor surgery were warm and sunny. Jack slept a great deal of the first few days. I wore his favorite sundress................ commando style.......... no underwear! We were just home alone, just the two of us. I brought him his pain pill and rousted him awake. He opened one eye and said, " Meredith, you are commando". With that, he sat up and felt under the hem of my skirt. He mumbled, " Not much gets by this Hoh " He went right back to sleep and seemed to be gathering his strength. While in my commando dress, his hands had no problem claiming what was his and I giggled. He said  that he knew I needed spanking and loving. He said to give him a few days and he would make things right.

Thanks, L.

Meredith

  1. Meredith,
You guys totally make me smile! It's awesome that Jack is so totally aware of you & is so focused on you, even while drugged and recovering from surgery. :)

  2. Made me giggle Mere! So happy he's coming through surgery well and will soon have his 'golf' swing back. Even half asleep and drugged...he knew when his wife was commando. LOL Sending prayers and healing energy.

    Hugs and Blessings...

  3. First, I do hope Jack is feeling much better now after his surgery. Golf so soon? My my. (Knowing smile and shake of head.) Can you imagine what would happen if positions were reversed?

Going commando eh? You are so brave. It would be just my luck to have the world turn up if I were floating round the garden sans culottes! You crack me up!

Wish our shower was as big as yours!

    Many hugs
    Ami

  11. You two are too cute! My husband has also been recovering from surgery (going on 5 weeks!), and the pain meds definitely slow him down. I miss sitting on his lap or curling next to him on the sofa as a recliner is his new favorite spot. About every third or fourth day we both seem to have built up stress and he rallies enough to tend to my needs. I do roam around the kitchen in a long tee shirt commando some mornings to give him a hint. Keep up the good nursing!

  12. Aww Meredith, hope Jack is back to feeling well really soon! :) In the meantime, sounds like you have things very much under control. I got a kick out of his groggy understanding of your lack of panties under the dress. Many hugs,

    <3 Katie

  16. Jack is a good man, He must be really not feeling well if he wasn't able to appreciate what you were giving him. Hope that you got what you needed by now (since it has been a couple of days since you wrote your post)
